Fee-payer

Who pays the fee?

Your shop has separate payer settings for the service fee and transfer fee. Review both settings to understand the customer payment amount and the merchant credit.

Customer pays

Charge the customer

A customer-paid service fee is added to the payment quote. A customer-paid transfer fee is also included when that separate setting applies. Review the complete quote at checkout.

Invoice amount + customer-paid fee components = quoted payment amount

Merchant pays

Absorb the fee

Merchant-paid service or transfer fee components affect the amount credited to your balance. The resulting credit depends on the actual payment and configured fee policy.

Received payment − merchant-paid fee components = merchant credit
Pricing FAQ

Common questions about fees

Is the gateway fee always 1%?

The standard shop service-fee setting is 1%. A merchant or shop can have a different configured rate. Confirm the applicable rate for your account and review the invoice quote before accepting payments.

How are gateway and transfer fees handled?

The service fee and transfer fee have separate payer settings. A customer-paid component is added to the payment quote; a merchant-paid component affects the credited amount. The actual breakdown depends on the shop and selected asset and network.

Can the customer cover the fees?

The shop can assign the service fee and transfer fee to the customer. Check both settings and the resulting checkout quote; changing one payer setting does not necessarily change the other.

Where can I confirm commercial terms?

Review the configuration for your shop and contact BluPay before launching if you need confirmation of your account rate, transaction limits, or other commercial terms.

Are withdrawal costs included in the invoice fee?

Withdrawals are a separate operation. Review the withdrawal fee and destination network shown for the request before confirming it; the invoice service fee does not establish a fixed withdrawal cost.
